Steps
- Rinse the mung beans under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak them in water for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- After soaking, drain the mung beans and place them in a steamer basket lined with cheesecloth or a thin kitchen towel.
- Fill a pot with water, bring it to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Place the steamer basket over the pot, cover, and steam the mung beans for about 15 minutes, or until tender.
- Once steamed, transfer the mung beans to a mixing bowl. Add coconut milk, salt, and stir until well combined.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped cilantro and black sesame seeds.
