Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, and add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.

- Stir in the soy sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper, mixing well. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.
- Gently add the cubed tofu to the pan, ensuring the tofu is coated evenly with the sauce. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
