- Vegetable broth - 100 ml

- Water - 50 ml
- Spring onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Drain the silken tofu and cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a non-stick pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are soft.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, vegetable broth, cornstarch, and water until well combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the pan with the mushrooms and stir well, allowing it to thicken for about 2-3 minutes.
- Gently add the tofu cubes to the pan, carefully folding them into the sauce without breaking them.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the tofu through, then season with black pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions before serving.
