Steps
- Drain the tofu and press it between paper towels to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes.
- Cut the pressed tofu into 1.5 cm cubes or rectangles.
- In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder together.
- Coat each tofu piece evenly with the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the coated tofu pieces in the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry the tofu for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried tofu and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs and accompanied by chili sauce for dipping.
