Ingredients

  • Pandan leaves - 5 leaves
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Agar-agar powder - 5 g
  • Coconut milk - 100 ml
  • Ice cubes - as needed
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Wash the pandan leaves thoroughly and tie them into a knot.
  2. In a pot, bring 500 ml of water to a boil and add the pandan leaves. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes to extract the color and flavor.
  3. Remove the pandan leaves and strain the liquid into a bowl.
  4. In the same pot, add the sugar to the pandan extract and stir until dissolved.
  5. Sprinkle the agar-agar powder into the boiling pandan liquid while stirring continuously until fully dissolved.
  6. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and let it cool at room temperature until set, about 20 minutes.
  7. Once set, cut the agar jelly into small cubes.
  8. To serve, place the cubes in a bowl, pour coconut milk over them, and add ice cubes for a refreshing touch. Sprinkle a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
