- Black tea leaves - 4 teaspoons
- Water - 400 ml
- Coconut milk - 200 ml
- Honey or maple syrup - 2 tablespoons
- Tapioca pearls - 100 grams
- Ice cubes - as needed
- Ice cream (optional) - 2 scoops
Steps
- Boil 400 ml of water in a pot.
- Once boiling, add the black tea leaves and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a bowl and discard the leaves.
- In the same pot, cook the tapioca pearls according to package instructions until they are translucent and chewy, about 20 minutes.
- Once the tapioca pearls are done, drain and rinse them under cold water.
- In a separate container, mix the brewed tea with coconut milk and honey or maple syrup until well combined.
- Divide the cooked tapioca pearls into two serving glasses.
- Pour the tea mixture over the tapioca pearls, add ice cubes, and stir gently.
- Top with a scoop of ice cream if desired, and serve immediately.
