- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large leaves
- Cucumber (sliced) - 1 small
- Rice vermicelli - 100 grams
Steps
- Cut the pork shoulder into thin strips and place them in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix the minced garlic, shallots, fish sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, lemon juice, and vegetable oil to create a marinade.
- Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the pork is marinating, prepare the shrimp by tossing them in a little salt and pepper.
- Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated pork and shrimp onto skewers, alternating between the two.
- Grill the skewers for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the pork is cooked through and the shrimp are opaque.
- Meanwhile, cook the rice vermicelli according to package instructions and rinse with cold water.
- Once cooked, serve the skewers on a plate with lettuce leaves, sliced cucumber, and rice vermicelli, garnished with chopped cilantro.
