  • Shallots - 2, minced
  • Fish sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro, mint, basil) - 1 cup, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large for wrapping

Steps

  2. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, shallots, fish sauce, sugar, black pepper, lemon juice, and vegetable oil to create a marinade.
  3. Add the pork slices to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the pork from the marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  6. While the pork is grilling, prepare the fresh herbs and cooked rice noodles.
  7. Once the pork is done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Serve the grilled pork with lettuce leaves, fresh herbs, and rice noodles, allowing diners to make their own wraps.
