Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lemongrass - 1 stalk, finely chopped
  • Ground black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Zucchini - 1 small, sliced
  • Red onion - 1 small, sliced
  • Fresh coriander - for garnish

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut it into 1 cm thick slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, vegetable oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, chopped lemongrass, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the tofu slices to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. While the tofu is marinating, preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Once marinated, place the tofu slices on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and slightly charred.
  6. In the last few minutes of grilling, add the sliced red bell pepper, zucchini, and red onion to the grill, cooking until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
  7. Remove the tofu and vegetables from the grill and arrange them on a serving plate.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
