  • Rice paper - 4 sheets
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Fresh herbs (mint, cilantro) - 1 cup mixed
  • Peanut sauce - 50 grams (for dipping)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, minced shallots, fish sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, and lime juice to create the marinade.
  2. Cut the pork shoulder into thin strips and add to the marinade, ensuring the pork is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the marinated pork strips for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. While the pork is grilling, prepare the fresh vegetables by julienning the cucumber and carrot, and washing the lettuce and herbs.
  6. To serve, lay out the grilled pork, fresh vegetables, and rice paper on a serving platter.
  7. To eat, dip a rice paper sheet in warm water until soft, then layer with lettuce, cucumber, carrot, herbs, and a piece of grilled pork. Roll it up tightly and dip into peanut sauce before enjoying.
