Ingredients
- Pork shoulder - 300 grams
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Shallots - 2, finely chopped
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
- Lettuce leaves - for serving
- Rice noodles - 100 grams, cooked
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped shallots, brown sugar, fish sauce, soy sauce, black pepper, lemon juice, and vegetable oil to create a marinade.
- Cut the pork shoulder into thin slices (about 1 cm thick) and add to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the pork from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Grill the pork slices for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Once cooked, remove the pork from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve the grilled pork on a plate garnished with fresh cilantro, alongside lettuce leaves and cooked rice noodles.
