  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the fermented soybean paste, minced garlic, lime juice, honey, fish sauce, black pepper, and chili flakes to create the marinade.
  2. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade and toss until well coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, making sure they are evenly spaced.
  5. Grill the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
