Ingredients

  • Shrimp - 400 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Lime juice - 60 ml (about 2 limes)
  • Fish sauce - 30 ml
  • Olive oil - 30 ml
  • Fresh cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon, or to taste
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lime wedges - for serving

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, lime juice, fish sauce, olive oil, chopped cilantro, chili flakes, black pepper, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp for even cooking.
  5. Grill the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are opaque and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
