  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Red chili - 1, sliced (optional for spice)
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges for serving

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp with minced garlic, ginger, lemongrass, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated.
  2. Add the beer to the bowl and let the shrimp marinate for about 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your steamer or set a pot of water to boil with a steaming rack inside.
  4. Place the marinated shrimp in a single layer on a heatproof plate, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  5. Sprinkle chopped cilantro, green onions, and sliced red chili over the shrimp.
  6. Carefully place the plate in the steamer or on the steaming rack, cover, and steam for about 10-12 minutes or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
  7. Remove the plate from the steamer and let it cool slightly before serving.
  8. Serve the Tôm Hấp Bia hot with lime wedges on the side.
