Ingredients

  • Broccoli - 200 grams
  • Vegetable broth - 500 ml
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Carrot - 1 medium, sliced
  • Shallots - 1 medium, diced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets and slice the carrot thinly.
  2. In a pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and diced shallots. Sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced carrot and broccoli florets to the pot and stir for another 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Stir in the soy sauce, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
