Ingredients

  • Pork ribs - 500 grams
  • Honey - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Shallots - 2, minced
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced shallots, black pepper, sesame oil, fish sauce, lime juice, and chili flakes to create the marinade.
  2. Place the pork ribs in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the ribs from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
  5. Grill the ribs for about 6-8 minutes on each side, basting with the reserved marinade every few minutes until the ribs are cooked through and have a nice char.
  6. Once done, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
