Ingredients

  • Scallops - 300 grams
  • Butter - 30 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Bell pepper (red) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Chili flakes - optional, to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat until melted.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the scallops to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper and zucchini, sautéing for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
  6. Return the scallops to the skillet, add the sesame oil, lime juice, and season with salt, black pepper, and chili flakes if using. Toss everything together to combine and heat through for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
