- King oyster mushrooms - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 30 ml
- Lime juice - 20 ml
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh cilantro - 10 grams, chopped
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Rice paper sheets - 4
Steps
- Clean the king oyster mushrooms and slice them into thick rounds, about 1.5 cm each.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, sesame oil, black pepper, and chili flakes to make the marinade.
- Add the mushroom slices to the marinade and let them soak for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with vegetable oil.
- Remove the mushrooms from the marinade and place them on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they develop grill marks and are tender.
- While grilling, prepare the dipping sauce by mixing any remaining marinade with chopped fresh cilantro.
- Once grilled, serve the mushrooms warm, wrapped in rice paper, with the cilantro dipping sauce on the side.
