  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes (optional) - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Wash the water spinach thoroughly under cold running water and drain well.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Increase the heat to high and add the water spinach to the pan, stirring quickly to coat with the oil and garlic.
  5. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the leaves are wilted and the stems are tender.
  6. Add the soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes (if using), and stir to combine.
