  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Wash the water spinach thoroughly and cut it into 10 cm lengths, discarding any tough stems.
  2. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, soy sauce, vegetable oil, sesame oil, chili flakes, lime juice, sugar, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

  5. Place the marinated water spinach on a grill basket or skewers, ensuring they are spread out evenly.
  6. Grill the water spinach for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the leaves are slightly charred and wilted.
