Ingredients

  • Mustard greens - 200 grams
  • Water - 1 liter
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh lime juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Wash the mustard greens thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or grit.
  2. In a pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  3. Once the water is boiling, add the mustard greens and blanch for about 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender.
  4. Using a slotted spoon, remove the greens and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  5. After a minute in the ice water, drain the mustard greens and gently squeeze out the excess water.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, and fresh lime juice to create a dipping sauce.
  7. Serve the blanched mustard greens on a plate, accompanied by the dipping sauce.
