Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Ground halal pork - 150 grams
  • Shallots - 2, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground pork, chopped shallots, minced garlic, fish sauce, sugar, black pepper, and form small meatballs, about the size of a walnut.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  5. Spread the tomato sauce evenly on the rolled-out pizza dough.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then arrange the cooked meatballs on top.
  7. Add chili flakes if desired, and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Once done, remove from the oven and garnish with chopped cilantro.
  9. Serve hot with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the pizza.
