Ingredients

  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Firm tofu - 150 grams, crumbled
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
  • Yellow onion - 1 small, diced
  • Mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 small, grated
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh basil leaves - 10 grams, chopped
  • Chili sauce - to taste (optional)
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil, kneading until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  4. While the dough is rising, prepare the topping by heating vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the onions until translucent.
  5. Add the diced red bell pepper, sliced mushrooms, and grated carrot to the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  6. Stir in the crumbled tofu and soy sauce, cooking for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in the chopped basil.
  7. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  8. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the tofu and vegetable mixture evenly over the crust.
  9. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and drizzle with chili sauce if desired.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
