- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
- Yellow onion - 1 small, diced
- Mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
- Carrot - 1 small, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil leaves - 10 grams, chopped
- Chili sauce - to taste (optional)
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil, kneading until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
- While the dough is rising, prepare the topping by heating vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the onions until translucent.
- Add the diced red bell pepper, sliced mushrooms, and grated carrot to the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the crumbled tofu and soy sauce, cooking for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in the chopped basil.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the tofu and vegetable mixture evenly over the crust.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and drizzle with chili sauce if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
