Ingredients

  • Rice paper - 4 sheets
  • Ground pork or chicken - 200 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium, grated
  • Mushrooms - 100 grams, finely chopped
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Bell pepper - 1 small, sliced
  • Fresh basil - a handful, chopped
  • Cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Chili flakes - optional, to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork or chicken, grated carrot, chopped mushrooms, green onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meat mixture and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Prepare the rice paper by soaking each sheet in warm water for about 10-15 seconds until pliable. Lay them flat on a clean surface.
  4. Spread a tablespoon of tomato sauce onto each rice paper sheet, leaving some space around the edges.
  5. Add a portion of the cooked meat mixture on top of the tomato sauce, followed by sliced bell peppers, and sprinkle with fresh basil and cilantro.
  6. Carefully fold in the sides of the rice paper and roll tightly to form a pizza shape. Repeat for all sheets.
  7. In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Place the rolled pizzas seam-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from heat, slice if desired, and serve hot with chili flakes sprinkled on top for extra spice.
