- Warm water - 120 milliliters
- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- Olive oil - 15 milliliters
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Salt - 5 grams
- Sugar - 5 grams
- Fresh basil - 10 grams, chopped
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Bell pepper - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
- Soy sauce - 10 milliliters
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a round pizza shape, about 1 cm thick.
- In a small bowl, mix minced garlic with a pinch of salt and olive oil. Brush this mixture over the pizza crust.
- Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the crust. Top with cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, and red onion slices.
- Sprinkle chopped basil, black pepper, and drizzle soy sauce over the toppings.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve hot.
