Ingredients

  • Warm water - 120 milliliters
  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Olive oil - 15 milliliters
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Sugar - 5 grams
  • Fresh basil - 10 grams, chopped
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Bell pepper - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Soy sauce - 10 milliliters
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a round pizza shape, about 1 cm thick.
  6. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic with a pinch of salt and olive oil. Brush this mixture over the pizza crust.
  7. Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the crust. Top with cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, and red onion slices.
  8. Sprinkle chopped basil, black pepper, and drizzle soy sauce over the toppings.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve hot.
