  • Star anise - 1 whole
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 small
  • Beef broth - 150 ml
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish) - a handful
  • Chili (sliced, optional) - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the onions, carrots, star anise, and cinnamon stick. Cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and fish sauce. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes until the beef is tender.
  6. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  7. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.
  10. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro and sliced chili if desired, and slice to serve.
