Ingredients
- Ground pork - 250 grams
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Shallots, minced - 1 small
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Gluten-free burger buns - 2
- Cucumber, thinly sliced - 1/2 medium
- Carrot, julienned - 1 medium
- Daikon radish, julienned - 1/2 medium
- Rice vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup
- Fresh mint - 1/4 cup
- Sriracha sauce - to taste
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, minced shallots, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into 2 patties and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
- While the patties are marinating, prepare the pickled vegetables by combining julienned carrot and daikon radish in a bowl. Drizzle with rice vinegar, mix well, and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the pork patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and nicely browned.
- Toast the gluten-free burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a pork patty on each bun, topping with sliced cucumber, pickled vegetables, fresh cilantro, and mint. Add sriracha sauce to taste.
