Ingredients

  • Oyster mushrooms - 200 grams
  • Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Oyster sauce (vegetarian) - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Clean the mushrooms under running water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Slice the oyster mushrooms into strips and the shiitake mushrooms into thin slices.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until they are tender and have released their moisture.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and vegetarian oyster sauce, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Stir well to combine for another 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and fold in the chopped green onions. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
