- Shiitake mushrooms - 200 grams
- Oyster mushrooms - 200 grams
- Scallions (green onions) - 4 stalks
- Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium heat.
- Clean the shiitake and oyster mushrooms under running water and pat them dry with a towel.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt to create a marinade.
- Place the mushrooms in a large bowl and pour the marinade over them, tossing gently to coat. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the scallion oil by finely chopping the scallions and mixing them with vegetable oil in a small bowl.
- After the mushrooms have marinated, place them on the grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are tender and have nice grill marks.
- In the last few minutes of grilling, brush the scallion oil over the mushrooms.
- Once grilled, remove the mushrooms from the grill and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if using.
- Serve hot with additional lime wedges on the side.
