Ingredients

  • Pork belly - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Shallots - 2, finely chopped
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon (or coconut aminos for keto)
  • Erythritol or stevia - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. Cut the pork belly into 2 cm cubes and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped shallots, fish sauce, soy sauce, erythritol, black pepper, lime juice, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  3. Add the pork belly pieces to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  4. Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated pork belly onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the pork is cooked through and has a nice char.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
