  • Green onions - 2 stalks

Steps

  1. Rinse the shiitake mushrooms under cold water and slice them into thin strips.
  2. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.
  3. Chop the green onions into small pieces, separating the white and green parts.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  5. Add the chopped garlic and the white parts of the green onions to the skillet, sautéing until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  6. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms to the skillet, stirring occasionally, and cook for about 5 minutes until they soften.
  7. Pour in the soy sauce, black pepper, and salt, stirring well to coat the mushrooms.
  8. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with the green parts of the green onions before serving.
