- Young green jackfruit - 200 grams, chopped
- Water - 500 ml

- Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- In a large pot, bring 500 ml of water to a boil and add the chopped young jackfruit. Boil for 10 minutes until tender.
- Drain the jackfruit and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, minced garlic, chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the cooled jackfruit to the marinade and mix well to ensure all pieces are coated.
- Cover the bowl and let the jackfruit marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Before serving, sprinkle with fresh cilantro for added freshness and flavor.
