  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili paste - 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Coriander - a handful, chopped
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse under cold water to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallots, sautéing until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Add the halal shrimp to the skillet, cooking until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the fish sauce, soy sauce, and chili paste, mixing well to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked rice noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together gently until the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce.
