Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 250 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Shallots - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili - 1, finely chopped (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large
  • Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
  • Mint leaves - 30 grams, chopped
  • Roasted peanuts - 20 grams, crushed
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, chopped shallots, turmeric powder, fish sauce, black pepper, and red chili. Mix well and form into 2 patties.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the pork patties. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and browned.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves by rinsing and drying them. Set aside.
  4. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burger by placing a patty on a lettuce leaf. Top with chopped cilantro, mint leaves, and crushed roasted peanuts.
  5. Serve with lime wedges on the side to squeeze over the burger for extra flavor.
