Ingredients
- Ground pork - 250 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Shallots - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili - 1, finely chopped (optional)
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large
- Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
- Mint leaves - 30 grams, chopped
- Roasted peanuts - 20 grams, crushed
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, chopped shallots, turmeric powder, fish sauce, black pepper, and red chili. Mix well and form into 2 patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the pork patties. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and browned.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves by rinsing and drying them. Set aside.
- Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burger by placing a patty on a lettuce leaf. Top with chopped cilantro, mint leaves, and crushed roasted peanuts.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side to squeeze over the burger for extra flavor.
