- Fermented soybean paste (Tương) - 2 tablespoons

- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Spring onions - 2, chopped

Steps
- Clean and prepare the squid by removing the skin and internal organs. Cut the squid into rings or bite-sized pieces.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sliced shallots to the pan, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the squid pieces to the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until they turn opaque.
- Stir in the red and green bell peppers and carrot, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables start to soften.
- Add the fermented soybean paste, soy sauce, and black pepper, mixing well to coat the squid and vegetables.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped spring onions and cilantro before serving.
