Ingredients

  • Squid - 200 grams, cleaned and sliced
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or button) - 150 grams, sliced
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped for garnish
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, stir-frying for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they soften.
  5. Add the sliced squid to the pan, stirring quickly for about 2-3 minutes until the squid is opaque and cooked through.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, mixing well to coat all the ingredients evenly.
  7. Season with black pepper and stir-fry for an additional minute.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve with lime wedges on the side.
