Ingredients

  • Squid - 300 grams, cleaned and sliced
  • Celery - 150 grams, diagonally sliced
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Red chili - 1, sliced (optional for spice)
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced squid to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn opaque.
  4. Stir in the sliced celery and red chili (if using), and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the celery is tender yet crisp.
  5. Pour in the fish sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper, mixing well to coat all the ingredients.
  6. Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
