Ingredients

  • Fresh oysters - 6 large
  • Scallions (green onions) - 4 stalks
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Rinse the oysters under cold water to clean them and remove any debris.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the vegetable oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes (if using).
  4. Finely chop the scallions and add them to the oil mixture.
  5. Place the oysters on the grill, flat side up, and cook for about 5 minutes until they start to open.

  7. Continue to grill the oysters for another 5-7 minutes until the topping is bubbly and the oysters are fully cooked.
