- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Shallots - 2, thinly sliced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh coriander - for garnish
- Rice - 150 grams (to serve)
Steps
- Marinate the sliced chicken in fish sauce, lime juice, black pepper, and sugar for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced lemongrass, garlic, and shallots to the pan, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to high and add the marinated chicken to the pan. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Add the sliced red chili and stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary, then remove from heat.
- Serve the Gà Xào Sả Ớt hot, garnished with fresh coriander, alongside steamed rice.
