Ingredients
- Chicken thighs - 500 grams, boneless and skinless
- Soy sauce - 30 ml
- Fish sauce - 15 ml
- Honey or sugar substitute - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Shallots - 2, finely chopped
- Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander - 10 grams, chopped for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, honey (or sugar substitute), minced garlic, chopped shallots, five-spice powder, black pepper, and sesame oil. Mix well to create the marinade.

- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Grill each side for about 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F) and has nice grill marks.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve the grilled chicken garnished with fresh coriander.
