- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Baguette - 1 large
- Cucumber - 1, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1, julienned
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Fresh mint - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Lettuce - 2 leaves, shredded
- Chili sauce - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped shallots, soy sauce, fish sauce, honey, lime juice, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Cut the chicken breast into thin slices and add it to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Cover and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- While the chicken is grilling, prepare the baguette by slicing it open lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
- Once the chicken is cooked, place it inside the baguette along with sliced cucumber, julienned carrot, shredded lettuce, chopped cilantro, and mint.
- Drizzle with chili sauce if desired, then close the baguette and serve immediately.
