Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs - 400 grams
  • Lemongrass - 2 stalks, minced
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Coconut aminos - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine minced lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, coconut aminos, honey, black pepper, cilantro, lime juice, and olive oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off.
  5. Grill the chicken thighs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F) and have nice grill marks.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the Gà Nướng with fresh herbs and a wedge of lime on the side.
