  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 100 milliliters
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon, toasted (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chicken thighs with coconut aminos, fish sauce, black pepper, and minced garlic. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced ginger and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken starts to brown.
  4. Pour in the water, cover the skillet, and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Remove the lid and let the sauce reduce for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
