- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 100 milliliters
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon, toasted (for garnish)
Steps
- In a medium bowl, combine the chicken thighs with coconut aminos, fish sauce, black pepper, and minced garlic. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced ginger and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken starts to brown.
- Pour in the water, cover the skillet, and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove the lid and let the sauce reduce for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
