  • Vegetarian fish sauce - 30 ml
  • Lime juice - 15 ml
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced

  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded green papaya, carrot, cucumber, and red bell pepper.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the vegetarian fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, minced garlic, and chili pepper (if using) until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour the dressing over the shredded vegetables and toss gently to combine.
  4. Add the chopped cilantro and mint, and toss again until evenly mixed.
  5. Let the salad sit for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
