  • Rice vermicelli - 100 grams
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, julienned
  • Fresh mint leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large, for serving
  • Peanuts - 2 tablespoons, crushed
  • Chili sauce - for drizzling (optional)

Steps

  1. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and place in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, minced garlic, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the beef and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. While the beef is marinating, cook the rice vermicelli according to package instructions, then drain and rinse under cold water.
  5. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and grill the marinated beef for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the cooked vermicelli, cucumber, carrot, red bell pepper, mint, and cilantro.
  7. Toss the salad mixture gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
