Ingredients

  • Pork ribs - 500 grams
  • Jasmine rice - 1 cup (200 grams)
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Shallots - 2, finely chopped
  • Soy sauce (Kosher) - 3 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and rice vinegar. Add pork ribs, ensuring they are well coated, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Rinse jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then cook it according to package instructions (approximately 15-20 minutes).
  3. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add chopped shallots and sauté until translucent.
  4. Add the marinated pork ribs to the skillet and cook for about 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally, until the ribs are browned and cooked through.
  5. While the ribs are cooking, prepare the fresh vegetables: julienne the carrot and slice the cucumber.
  6. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  7. To serve, place a generous scoop of jasmine rice on each plate, top with the cooked pork ribs, and arrange the fresh vegetables alongside. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
