  • White fish fillets (like cod or halibut) - 300 grams
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Fish sauce (kosher) - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh dill - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Green onions - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Rice vermicelli noodles - 100 grams
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large leaves
  • Lime wedges - 1 lime

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the fish fillets with turmeric, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and fish sauce. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. While the fish is marinating, cook the rice vermicelli noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated fish and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until cooked through and golden.
  4. Once the fish is cooked, add the chopped dill and green onions to the skillet, stirring gently to combine for another 2 minutes.
  5. To serve, place a portion of the vermicelli noodles on a plate, top with the fish and herb mixture, and serve with lettuce leaves and lime wedges on the side.
