Ingredients
- Young jackfruit - 200 grams, chopped
- Coconut milk - 400 ml
- Tapioca pearls - 50 grams
- Sugar - 50 grams
- Salt - a pinch
- Pandan leaves - 2, tied in a knot
- Water - 500 ml
Steps
- In a pot, bring 500 ml of water to a boil and add the tapioca pearls. Cook for about 15 minutes or until they are translucent, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Once cooked, drain the tapioca pearls and rinse them under cold water. Set aside.
- In the same pot, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Add the pandan leaves and bring the mixture to a simmer over low heat.
- Stir in the chopped young jackfruit and the cooked tapioca pearls. Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Remove the pandan leaves and serve the Chè Mít warm or chilled in bowls.
