- Carrot (finely grated) - 50 grams
- Green onion (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 8 large leaves
- Cilantro (for garnish) - 2 tablespoons
- Lime wedges (for serving) - 2 wedges
Steps
- Soak the dried shiitake mushrooms in warm water for about 15 minutes or until softened, then chop finely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shiitake mushrooms, grated carrot, chopped green onion, minced garlic, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small logs, about 5 cm long and 2 cm wide.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Cook the pork logs for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the logs from the skillet and let them cool slightly.
- To serve, place a pork log in the center of a lettuce leaf, add a few cilantro leaves, and wrap tightly. Repeat with remaining logs.
