- Rice flour - 50 grams
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Green onions - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)
- Gluten-free burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Sliced tomatoes - 1 medium
- Sliced cucumbers - 1/2 medium
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons (optional)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the fish fillets, rice flour, dill, green onions, garlic, turmeric, fish sauce, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the fish is evenly coated.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into two patties, approximately 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the fish patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the gluten-free buns by toasting them lightly if desired.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a cooked fish patty, sliced tomatoes, and cucumbers. Add mayonnaise if using, then top with the other half of the bun.
